Instagram has recently drop off from Apple watch. From now on you couldn’t use Instagram on your Apple watch either you are using the series 2 or the latest one, the series 3 watch.
It happens due to Apple mainly. As of from 1st April, no any non native apps (apps that are device dependent) was not running in any Apple devices from smart watch to latest iPhone due to Apple regulations and since Instagram on Apple watch was mainly a non native app, it is not running in that sense.
Although the app is not running, it would not make large impact on their businesses. Compared to last year Apple series 2 sells, this year the Apple watch series 3 sells has increased in a much larger order and Instagram on the watch devices wasn’t so feature reach.
In Apple watch, you could not see Instagram videos or can’t message anyone directly. The app was phone dependent as of in the presence of wifi or LTE, it doesn’t work in getting feeds without an iPhone on Apple series 3 devices. From now on maybe companies will only make wearable apps if only there’s some specific needs behind it.
Thanks for reading. You could also see how to upload Instagram stories directly from your PC without any mobile phone here.
